The BFAA acknowledges the support of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) who have licenced content from CISI’s industry relevant and internationally recognised qualifications to the BFAA for use within this workbook.
The CISI is the leading professional body for the securities, investment, wealth and financial planning professionals. Formed in 1992 by London Stock Exchange practitioners, CISI has a global community of more than 40,000 members in 116 countries and last year more than 40,000 CISI exams were sat in 80 countries.

CISI welcomes successful BFAA IA or IIP license holders to join as members of the Institute.
- CISI will offer achievers of BFAA Investment Advisors and Investment Insurance Advisors (IA and IIA, respectively) Associate (ACSI) membership. You will be able to use these designatory letters (ACSI) after your name.
- The BFAA Investment Information Provider (IIP) qualification achievers can apply for Affiliate membership of CISI.
For both advisors and information providers, CISI will waive the joining fee for membership:

*All new membership applications, are payable on a pro-rata basis, depending on the time of year that the application is made. CISI membership years runs from 1st April – 31st March the following year. If you wanted to join mid-way through the membership year, you would pay a lower cost.)
